Controversy Over Lyme Disease Treatment & Diagnosis

A controversial film is shining the spotlight on the treatment and diagnosis of Lyme disease. According to the Centers for Disease Control, Lyme disease is America's fastest-growing vector-borne disease, one carried by birds, animals or insects. There is much debate and conflicting views on how long Lyme disease can last and the most effective treatment.

The film "Under Our Skin" intends to expose the hidden story of Lyme disease.

Tonight we'll hear from a Lyme disease patient, one of the authors of the Infectious Disease Society of America's Lyme Disease Treatment Guidelines and an infectious disease and public health expert.
