Now that the school year is back in full swing, we're joined by Michelle Shearer, a high school chemistry teacher in Frederick, Maryland and the 2011 National Teacher of the Year. Michelle teaches Advanced Placement Chemistry at Urbana High School in the Frederick County Public Schools system. We'll discus why her work in the classroom was recognized with this honor, and what she has been telling educators across the country.
