MPT's State Circle to Focus on Health Care Reform
Experts to discuss what will work and what doesn't in the ongoing Health Care Debate
Owings Mills, MD-Following a summer of heated sound-bites from Capitol Hill and across the country, Maryland Public Television's (MPT) State Circle will devote a special edition of the program this week to a look at the real issues surrounding the current health-care reform debate and what those proposals mean for Marylanders.
Host Jeff Salkin and the MPT reporting team will take a close look at President Obama’s recent health care reform proposals, explore the plight of Maryland's uninsured, as well as talk to local business owners overburdened and struggling with the escalating costs of health care premiums.
Round table experts will also discuss a range of opinions on health care and reform from members of the medical community including Carmela Coyle, President and CEO of the Maryland Hospital Association and Dr. Mandeep Mehra, Head of Cardiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
State Circle airs on Maryland Public Television (MPT) September 25 at 7:30pm.
