Art of Vietnam: 21st Century
Towson University
Art of Vietnam: 21st Century is an exhibition that explores the integration of traditional Eastern techniques with modern influences from the Western world. The exhibit showcases four artists from Vietnam who were mere toddlers during the closing of America's military involvement in Vietnam. Their work is a mixture of several different mediums, including woodcutting, watercolor on silk and oil and lacquer painting. Very vibrant in color, this exhibit draws in the viewer as soon as he or she enters into the gallery. To enjoy this colorful, mixed-media collection, visit the Asian Arts Gallery in the Center for the Arts at Towson University. The exhibit is through December 8 and the admission is free. Gallery hours are Mon.- Fri., 11-4pm and Sat. 1-4pm. For more information call 410-704-2807.
