Volunteer-a-thon

Volunteer through MPT to Help the Bay!

Maryland Public Television is now host to the largest environmental Volunteer-a-thon on the east coast! JOIN US in raising 10,000+ volunteer hours to assist the many nonprofits that service and protect the Chesapeake Bay.

We have opportunities for helping a broad range of environmental groups, ranging from on-site work such as planting grass to answering phones and helping with mailings. Pledge your hours online now by filling out the form below.

Make sure you indicate the group you are associated with, as each group's volunteer hours will be counted and tallied by this form.

MPT makes it easy to help the bay with its third annual Chesapeake Bay Week Volunteer-a-thon, airing live Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 6 p.m. Baltimore's Living Classrooms Foundation is one of the many organizations you can donate volunteer hours to this year. Learn about Living Classrooms (right column) and see how you can help them!

Check out what students at Ruxton Country School in Owings Mills, Maryland, are doing to help the watershed region! Students, their families and staff have already donated 5,000 hours to MPT's third annual Chesapeake Bay Week Volunteer-a-thon!
