Maryland Public Television’s 20th annual Chesapeake Bay Week features more than 22 hours of Bay-focused programming, with even more compelling content available for streaming through the PBS app.     

On Monday, April 22nd at 8pm exalt in the beauty and elegance of Maryland’s iconic sailing log canoes in Racing Rivals: Log Canoes of Chesapeake Bay. Meet the sailors and  enthusiasts keeping this centuries-old Eastern Shore tradition alive through exhilarating weekend regattas. 

Some of the world’s most knowledgeable experts and advocates gather to discuss the future of the Chesapeake Bay in front of a live studio audience on Tuesday, April 23rd at 8pm for TheChesapeake Bay Summit 2024: Course Correction. The conversation, moderated by noted environmental journalist Frank Sesno, examines a new direction in Bay cleanup efforts.     

And explore the history, culture, art, and science surrounding the Chesapeake oyster in A Passion for Oysters on Wednesday, April 24th at 7:30pm.
