Voices of Baltimore: Black, White and Gray

Kwame Rose

Born and raised in Baltimore, Kwame Rose was one of the younger people thrust into the eye of the storm in April, 2015. Although many remember his viral confrontation with Geraldo Rivera, Rose also spoke at rallies and spearheaded marches throughout the city during this time.

As an activist, he has advocated for redistribution of city tax money, while claiming space for the protection and safety of his community. Passionate about inspiring young people to advocate for their own neighborhoods, he is now touring the country to speak at universities.
