Norwegian contemporary art from the 1930s until today is represented through a broad selection of works taken from four artists: Arne Ekeland (1908-94), Marianne Heske (b. 1946), Bjarne Melgaard (b. 1967) and Marthe Thorshaug (b. 1977). Organized in collaboration with the National Gallery of Art's exhibition Edvard Munch: Master Prints, on view through October 31, 2010.

EDUCATION at STRATHMORE co-presented with FAES Graduate School at the National Institute of Health ART SONGS: Chamber Music with Words 14 Tuesdays Sessions 7PM - 9PM September 14 - December 7, 2010 Explore the art song as chamber music with distinguished area music faculty members and composers/performers. The series covers European and American repertoire from the classical period to the 20th century. in each session, the songs will be performed live, in the original languages, both as examples during the lecture and as part of an uninterrupted performance immediately following.

CENTERSTAGE is thrilled to announce the 2010-11 selections for the Play Lab Series, featuring a trio of “homegrown” talent with new work in the throes of development. Each artist has strong ties to CENTERSTAGE as well as Artistic Director Irene Lewis. While the artists return to their roots to work in the lab, audiences can join the process by stopping by any of the available open rehearsal slots during the day, then catching one of the casual readings—complete with complimentary Toast Bar.
