Kid Field Trip: THE NATIONAL AQUARIUM IN BALTIMORE
Have
you ever misplaced your favorite sneakers or baseball cap? Well, once
Bob lost his mother's pet fish, Sid the Vid Fish. Can you imagine that?
Misplacing a fish? To find Sid, Bob ended up searching the National Aquarium
in Baltimore, Maryland from one end to the other. He didn't find Sid there,
but he did learn all sorts of new things about the creatures that live
in our oceans and rainforests.
Here's some of the things Bob learned:
- MORE THAN
HALF the world's plants and animals live in the rainforest.
- Seals
have a thick layer of BLUBBER under their skin which keeps them warm
in cold weather.
- Horseshoe
crabs have not one, but TWO sets of eyes. That's FOUR EYES total!
