"Reading is very important for this world because reading could take you wherever you want. Without reading, it's like, where are you going?"
                       —Zulma Sum, parent

We all know that learning to read is important. If we can read well, we can learn well. And, if we learn well, we can succeed in school, in our jobs, and in life.

What we sometimes don't realize, though, is that learning to read is a process. It begins during the first few days of life. And it continues for a very long time. In fact, we probably learn something new about reading every day-even after we have left school.

The process of learning to read begins with you. You are the first teacher your children will have. Most educational experts also think you are the best teacher they will ever have.

When you first think about it, it might seem like helping your children become readers is too hard. You might think that you don't know anything about it.

However, you do know your children and what they need. You want them to be the best people they can be. You can learn the rest.

That's why we're here to help.
