Beginning readers need your support and encouragement. They have already mastered a great number of skills. However, they need to go further.

They need to know you are still in their corner, and interested in what happens to them on their reading adventure. Be sure to keep reading together. You can also make sure your children continue to love reading by showing them how much you enjoy it, too. Your children have come a far way, but they will always need your support.
