After you finish
- Discuss whether your children's predictions came true.
- Ask how the story made your children feel and help them work through some of these feelings.
- Compare the story to something familiar that your children have seen or done before, or to something they have already learned.
- Follow up with a trip or activity that extends the book and brings it to life.
- If your children liked the book, reread it together-- or find another book on a similar theme, or pick something else written by the same author. Help your children see how many wonderful books are waiting to be read.
