After you finish
- Discuss whether your child's predictions came true.
- Ask how the story made your child feel, and help your child work through some of these reactions.
- Compare the story to something familiar that your child has seen or done before, or to something your child has already learned.
- Follow up with a trip or activity that extends the book and brings it to life.
- If your child liked the book, reread it together-or find another book on a similar theme, or pick something else written by the same author. Help your child see how many wonderful books are waiting to be read.
