The University of Maryland Extension-Baltimore City 4-H Youth
Development in partnership with the Maryland Agricultural Fair Board will host the
Twelfth Annual Baltimore City 4-H Youth Expo on Friday May 18, 2012 from 10:00am – 6:00pm. The event will be held at the War Memorial Building, 101 North Gay Street at Lexington Street.
The Baltimore City 4-H Youth Expo is a citywide event that showcases the talents, skills
and interests of youth between the ages of 5-18. Individuals and youth groups are invited
to participate in competitive and non-competitive activities in the areas of
entrepreneurship, photography, poetry and spoken word, fashion revue, arts and crafts,
theatre arts, sciences, healthy lifestyles, baked goods, clothing construction, horticulture, service learning, leadership development and more. Participants have the opportunity to qualify for competition at the Maryland State Fair. There will be an abundance of entertainment, vendors, and educational stations. Participation in the 4-H Expo promotes positive expression, encourages the spirit of competition, and increases opportunities for involvement in statewide activities.
