Benefitting the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland, Kidney Walk is a fun, inspiring, community fundraiser that calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation.

Following the 1.6 mile-walk, participants can enjoy refreshments and mingle with zoo animals. Additional activities include face painting, as well as rock climbing and touring a digital camouflage Humvee – both provided by the Maryland National Guard.

Funds raised through Kidney Walk will directly support NKF-MD’s patient services, education and research efforts. More than 2,500 people participated in the 2011 Kidney Walk events, which raised over $275,000.
