The Baltimore School for the Arts’ students will showcase talent in vocal, instrumental, theatre and visual art through a variety of performances and exhibitions.

Spring Dance Performance
The Spring Dance Concert will include George Balanchine's Stars and Stripes pas de deux, staged by John Clifford. Other pieces include contemporary choreography by John Clifford, modern choreography by faculty member Tony Wilson, Spanish dance choreographed by Susan Wincek and a self-choreographed piece by the senior class. Calvary Halt, choreographed by the renowned French choreographer Marius Petipa and restaged by Bat Udval and Evgenia Singur, will complete the program.

Spring Choral Concert
Dr. Mark Hardy will conduct the BSA chorus in Igor Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms and Fantasia for Piano, Chorus and Orchestra, Op.80 by Ludwig van Beethoven. Michael Sheppard, BSA piano accompanist and teacher, will be the solo pianist.

Senior Exhibition
The Senior Exhibition is the culminating event for BSA visual arts students. The strongest work is selected from each senior’s jury. This work tends to be experimental, personal and conceptual in nature and demonstrates the high level of achievement seniors’ attain before moving on to college. Seniors are responsible for all aspects of this exhibition including publicizing, mounting and lighting the artwork, and organizing the opening reception.
