New role for Concert for the Chesapeake Bay artist

carousel_christhile.jpgChris Thile is set to be the new host of the long-running radio variety show, A Prairie Home Companion. Thile is an accomplished musician who sings and plays the mandolin for Punch Brothers, the bluegrass quintet that appeared this year on MPT's Concert for the Chesapeake Bay, as part of Chesapeake Bay Week.

He is to replace veteran entertainer and longtime Lake Wobegon resident Garrison Keillor, who has decided to retire from the show.
