Ground Rent

Sun Reporters June Arney and Fred Schulte have spent nine months researching the Baltimore City system of ground rent, where someone can own the land beneath your house, for a three-part series. Ground rent is often used now as a way to seize homes from ground-renters who have fallen behind on their payments.
