Banning Trans Fats

New York has become the first city in the country to enact a ban forbidding restaurants from using partially hydrogenated vegetable oils and shortening in cooking. Tonight we'll look at the issue of Trans Fat in our foods and other dietary issues. Linda Yerardi is a registered dietitian providing nutrition counseling for patients in The Diabetes Center at Mercy Medical Center. Linda has more than 20 years experience in the nutrition field, working with kids, adults and the elderly.
