Adolescent Gynecology
Texas Governor Rick Perry recently ordered all of the state's middle-school-aged girls be vaccinated against a sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer, resulting in a huge controversy. Critics argued that the executive order promoted promiscuity, trampled on parental rights and subjected children to a new vaccine with unknown long-term effects. Proponents argue that the shots could save lives.
