Kipp Ujima Academy

Kipp Ujima Academy in Northwest Baltimore, a small charter school serving poor children, has turned around students' academic careers, changing low-performers into some of the city's highest reading and math scorers, while students in neighboring schools have continued to lag behind, according to a new study conducted by a Hopkins researcher.
