Lyme Disease Cases on the Increase
The number of Lyme Disease cases has grown lately although researchers don't know if this is due to a greater number of outbreaks or a greater awareness in identifying the disease. In Maryland, the number of cases more than doubled between 2001 and 2006 from 608 cases to 1,248. Dr. Haile of GBMC will tell you how to avoid putting yourself at risk and how to identify the symptoms if you have it.
