The Life and Legacy of Justice Thurgood Marshall
July 2nd marks the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Justice Thurgood Marshall, the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States. Tonight our distinguished panel, who all personally knew Justice Marshall, will reflect on the life and legacy of the Civil Rights legend.

The Honorable Chief Judge Bell has served since 1991 as a judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals, the highest court in Maryland, and has been the Chief Judge since 1996. He is Maryland’s first African American to serve as the Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals.
