Speed Cameras in Local Jurisdictions
The Governor vetoed a bill that would have allowed local jurisdictions like Montgomery County to use (un-manned)speed cameras as a safety measure. Proponents say it will cut down on speeding and save lives while opponents say it is all about money, not safety and an abuse of privacy and government power.
