Proposed Changes to Maryland Voting
A controversial set of measures was proposed in the legislature to change the way Marylanders vote. Among the proposals: Opening the polls for many days, increasing penalties for "obstructors" and new rules for absentee ballots. The opposition sees it as an attempt to change the rules in order to get the State House back in Democratic hands in an important election year.
