Should current methods of choosing judges be changed?
There is a great debate in the legal community over the method of choosing judges. The current system of contested elections has led to many sitting judges being voted out while others argue that having judges responsible to the electorate as opposed to elected officials best serves the public. A group of circuit judges is urging the legislature to reform the process.
