Wind Turbines — Boon or Bane?
Recent developments in a proposed wind farm project in Western Maryland have stirred passions on both sides of the debate on the environmental impact of the facilities. Wind turbines provide a clean renewable energy source that is applauded by some conservationists, while other conservationists are concerned about birds, bats, noise pollution and other factors generated by the structures.
