We want to make note of the passing of a member of the MPT State Circle family. Monte Mordecai, husband of our colleague, Mindy Mintz, passed away Thursday at the age of 63. Monte worked in finance for the Baltimore County public schools. He was a Navy veteran and graduate of the University of North Carolina, Michigan State University, and Baltimoreýs Friends School. Monte was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus. He battled that condition, with the help of a large online support community, for nearly a year. Mindy and her two daughters have established a new charitable organization to raise awareness of esophageal cancer and fund research: www.BeACancerdancer.org
