GLOBE TREKKER transports viewers to unforgettable destinations through its stunning photography, rhythmic indigenous music and spirit of adventure. In each episode, one vibrant young traveler ventures off the beaten path to soak up the local culture, sample the cuisine and revel in breathtaking vistas. In keeping with their aim of "living as the locals do," charismatic hosts Ian Wright, Justine Shapiro, Zay Harding, Megan McCormick and others explore everything from big-city landmarks to exotic sights in remote villages.

Next it's on to Delaware, with stops in Lewes and Annapolis, followed by crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay. Brianna journeys through the Brandywine Valley, which stretches through Delaware and Pennsylvania, on her way to Philadelphia for a taste of the famous cheesesteaks and a look at the Art Museum. She continues west through Amish country, takes in the new Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville and checks out the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. Brianna makes her way to Virginia, where she encounters a replica of Stonehenge made entirely from Styrofoam and concludes her trip at Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson.

Globe Trekker Special: World War II in the Pacific

The "Trekkers" explore the epic events of World War II by visiting key locations in the Pacific, a region where great battles where fought and military history was made. This episode begins at Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu, then moves to Chuuk Lagoon in Micronesia, the base for Japanese operations against Allied forces in New Guinea and the Solomon Islands and today a scuba-diving paradise, drawing wreck diving enthusiasts from around the world. Other sites include the Solomon Islands, Bikini Island, the remote village of Kokoda in Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Saipan and Tinian, a small island in the Northern Marianas archipelago and the take-off point for the Enola Gay's mission. The episode wraps up with a moving visit to Japan and the Nagasaki Peace Park.

Brianna and Jonathan Atherton travel to Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands that was built around a network of beautiful canals overlooked by the gabled mansions of 17th century merchants. Jonathan visits the Rijksmuseum, which has a magnificent collection of paintings by the great Dutch Masters, while Brianna marvels at the artistic genius of Vincent van Gogh at the Van Gogh Museum. She then visits a replica of an East India cargo, discovering how the great wealth of the city was extracted from the Dutch colonies in Asia, while on the other side Jonathan observes a dockland squat. Briana later ventures to the Anne Frank House and hears about her family's last days in hiding from the Nazis. In stark contrast, Jonathan ends his trip partying at the Gay Parade, one of Amsterdam's biggest events of the year.

Spanish Islands

Alex Riley explores the glorious Spanish Islands, visiting the Balearics off the coast of Spain and the Canary Islands near Africa. He begins on the millionaires' playground that is Mallorca and hops over to Ibiza, where he goes clubbing with the beautiful people and then winds down at a yoga resort. Alex next travels to Formentera, a sparsely populated island famous for mud baths and massive boats. He then visits the Canary Islands, starting with Gran Canaria where he revels at the festival of the Virgen del Rosario and explores the island's ancient caves. On Tenerife, Alex hikes up the Tiede volcano, Spain's highest peak, and later swims alongside a mother whale and her calves. He tries kite surfing in Fuerteventura and later tests his corralling skills at a goat rodeo
