Star-Spangled Spectacular (September 2014) was a celebration of the 200th anniversary of our national anthem and the end of the War of 1812. Tall ships, Navy gray hulls and the Blue Angels came to Baltimore's famed Inner Harbor, with the culminating event of a star-studded concert at Pier Six Pavilion - including an immense fireworks display - capping the festivities.

The national anthem performed by Jordin Sparks, the Morgan State University Choir and the US Marine Band on the 200th anniversary of the writing of the anthem by Francis Scott Key at the Fort McHenry National Monument in Baltimore, MD, with fireworks by Grucci. This performance was part of the Great Performances special: Star-Spangled Spectacular: Bicentennial of our National Anthem.

Key, a constitutional lawyer, famously penned the lyrics following the 12-hour bombardment of Ft. McHenry in September 1814. The film highlights Key's personal life, legal career and artistic development.
