Nurse Practitioner Legislation

Good news for Maryland's Nurse Practitioners, a new law was passed in Annapolis to cut bureaucratic delays and so that Nurse Practitioners can start practicing more quickly. This is something that could benefit patients that may have trouble being seen due to doctor shortages.

What To Do About Oysters

A bill before the Maryland House of Delegates would require the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to establish oyster sanctuaries in half of the viable habitat and create a more specific fishery management plan for oysters. It would also place a moratorium on oyster harvesting until those goals are met. Supporters of the bay's watermen say this goes too far.
