3 MO' DIVAS

3 MO' Divas

3 MO' DivasDiscover a diva (or three!) this spring, as Maryland Public Television (MPT) presents 3 Mo' Divas—three extraordinarily talented women with diva attitude to spare and the pipes and fabulousness to back it up.

Conceived and directed by veteran Broadway performer, choreographer and director, Marion J. Caffey, the divas— Laurice Lanier, Nova Payton and Jamet Pittman—are sure to become household names.

Like Caffey's famous 3 Mo' Tenors, Lanier, Payton and Pittman are as comfortable with Puccini as they are with "Proud Mary." Backed by an 11-piece on-stage orchestra, the classically trained divas are individually showcased in thrilling solos or combined in ensembles of show-stopping power.

Jazz, blues, opera, gospel, even disco, the divas do it all—with soul, feeling, style, and yes, a little well-timed attitude. From their very first note, it's easy to see these women were born to sing. With genre-defying voices, unbeatable style, limitless grace and tremendous stage presence, the trio will lift viewers out of their seats and leave them clapping for more.
