King George V and Queen Mary.

"I grew up in India in a very British-influenced household and community so when I discovered Britcoms it was like going down memory lane. The British accent, language, and mannerisms were familiar and heartwarming. My daughter who grew up in the United States is amazed why I like the British shows and often says I watch them just because they are British not necessarily for the content. She's partly right - I enjoy seeing the furniture, décor, kitchen stuff, etc. because it reminds me of things I grew up with and saw in my grandparents' home which had huge portraits of King George V and Queen Mary. My favorite show by far is
As Time Goes By."

Hyacinth and the Major in his two seater.

"A few years back I and a group of friends were at the Middleburg Virginia Christmas Parade. Standing on the curb watching the parade go by, suddenly there was an older man driving an old convertable car just like the one the Major drove in the
Keeping Up Appearances episode, 'Golfing Hotel.' I turned to my friends and said, 'Isn't there something odd about elderly men driving a two seater?' The stranger in front of me turned around to me laughing so hard. Fun KUA memory."
