Call for Submissions: Chesapeake Bay Week 2024

Each year, Maryland Public Television’s Chesapeake Bay Week celebrates our nation’s largest estuary with a collection of programs and films designed to provoke, inspire and entertain. Quality local content is at the core of this popular week of programming. In 2024, programs will air April 21st- April 27th on Maryland Public Television; additionally, some programs will be considered for national distribution to public television stations across the country and via online platforms.

Successful submissions will be well-produced and timely, exploring topics relevant to the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed. We’re looking for films that run the gamut—anything from serious environmental documentaries that examine ecological issues facing the Bay, to uplifting programs celebrating the Chesapeake region’s history, culture and cuisine.
