Premiered November 30 at 7PM on MPT

Travel back in time to the year 1755 for an epic adventure across western Maryland's rugged frontier. Braddock's Road: A Legacy Unearthed chronicles the construction of one of the nation's oldest and most infamous military roads, built during the height of the French & Indian War.

Join British General Edward Braddock as he leads nearly 2500 personnel on a brutal march across the Appalachian Mountains, more than 120 miles from Maryland's Fort Cumberland, to the French Fort Duquesne in modern-day Pittsburgh...a march that would end in bloody defeat.  Centuries later, traces of this historic route still remain, hidden beneath soil and brush, waiting to be rediscovered.

Through weaving together the saga of this forgotten byway with the search for its archaeological remains, Braddock’s Road: A Legacy Unearthed explores the ways in which roads have helped to shape, not only America’s landscape, but the very course of its history.
